Crazy Dave built his own Dry Age Fridge while he was waiting for “TheSteakAger” to arrive. Now that it arrived, Dave and A Little Coffee Bean decided to have a competition to see who’s Dry Ager will dry age a Boneless Rib Eye better.

Pro: In the 35 day dry age, this steak seems to be the one everyone chose. It tasted more like a real steakhouse steak. In a blind taste test with 7 people 5-2 said this tasted more like an expensive Steakhouse Steak.
Bigger space allows more room to add more meat.
Separate unit not taking up limited space in the normal household fridge.
Con: You have to monitor the temps and humidity 2x’s a day.
More user attention needed and user makes adjustment as necessary. Adjusting temps, and adding or removing the Damp Rid moisture absorber.

Easy to assemble
Con: In a blind taste test with 7 people 5 people said this It tasted more like a plain regular cut of meat, people were surprised it was even aged 35 days. The other 2 simply said the like plain meat and it tasted like it was just bought home from the store and slightly impressed with the flavor.
Customer service lacking, made up excuses to increase price from $159.95 to $199.00 rather than honor the advertised price, even after showing the website and links. And Dave never received the replacement screws.
Takes up a lot of room in the fridge, for a normal family to have to give up almost, but half a fridge would be hard.
Still experiencing problems with the app
TIP: Save your money and build your own “Dry Age Fridge”.
The owner of Steak Ager “Frank” and his associates began to troll Dave and attacked him on Facebook forums as soon as they got wind he was reviewing their product and pointed out the price discrepancy to other potential customers. Frank even slammed Dave for reviewing this product without his permission. Advising Dave that he needed Franks permission to do a product review.
The product is good for the amateur, but be warned customer service is very lacking. Don’t dare talk about TheSteakAger in any forums as they will troll you and harass you the second you say anything that they feel is not positive about the product.
All Frank had to do, to have a happy customer and a positive review was simply give me back my $40.00. especially after Dave was told by Eric that Frank would be contacting him, and Dave had screen shots of the price error. Instead they fought with him, trolled him, and slammed hard hard on Facebook public posts.
This is unprofessional of any organization and for that Dave is again telling people to use caution if you decide to purchase “TheSteakAger”.
After some very worded emails with Frank he decided to accept Dave’s return and promised him a full refund. Frank received it back a week ago, and still no refund.
The problem got worse in that they stopped responding to his emails, as Frank was not going to issue the refund as promised. Dave had to file a complaint with Facebook to get his money back.
Also after going back and forth with Frank, the link in question that Dave pointed out was advertising $159.99 is now fixed. How many other people got charged $199.99 or $249.99 when it was advertised $159.99.
Frank (TheSteakAger) could have thanked Dave for finding this error, refunded his $40.00 for finding this huge error that could cause a massive deception in advertising claim.
